Looking inside of myself

I see nothing

Just a void

And as I stare at it, it expands

Swallowing me whole

I am lost in the darkness

But there, at the far end, I can see light

I run towards it, but it only grows farther away

And I give up

The author's comments:

Most of the poems I write are reflections of myself, and this one is no exception. I've given up on a lot of things that I used to do, as I no longer have the energy or will to do them anymore.

Mostly depression, but some days it's better than others.

As if an artwork on display
Of gears and hands
And wire-thin bands
That glisten in dim candle play." -Janice T., Clockwork[love that poem, dont know why, im not steampunk]
