They said '’never’' but they did.

They said ‘'forever’’ but they didn’t.

I said & still say 'always' because they do.

They told me they would never hurt me but they did, A LOT.

They told me they would forever stay, but they didn’t. They aren't here anymore.

I said & still say they always leave me because they do, and I’m still not used to it.

At the end of the day, I only have me, and that’s the problem.

Wishing I’d never trust them in the first place.

Thoughts that would forever stay, unlike them.

Lies, excuses, talking shadows, & people leaving is what I always get.

Never...

Forever...

...and Always.

These three life lessons taught me to know better.

 Surprising that I still haven't learned.

If only I would remember "Never, Forever, and Always" maybe why wouldn't find myself writing another letter.

A mind full of moments, and memories that have turned into regrets it's all I've earned.

Understand that I'm trying to warn you about them.

Listen to me trying to teach you "Never, Forever, and Always" because it's an important lesson.

Listen to me when I try to warn you about the pain

Learn from my mistakes, and you'll know how to beat the game.

Let my words haunt you, trust me they save you from much shame.

Take it from someone who knows...

Even though you won't escape it every time,

I know I'll save you from some.

Just remember what I said at that beginning when the words "Never, Forever, and Always" echos in your head, and how people will treat you when it comes to those three words.

It will take a while for you to learn,

but you'll remember when you shed the hot, burning, salty tears.

You'll find yourself in that position a couple of times, and it will become one of your worst fears.

After finding yourself in that position you'll understand that you had to experience it to learn why it's such a painful and scary life lesson.

...Three life lessons you can't be saved from learning.

Never.

Forever.
