Broken
I’m broken
Enough not to feel anymore
Your words impact me from a distance
Your knives cut at me from an ocean away
Your eyes pierce me from the mirror
Your eyes...
You shine like diamonds
And even though I want to
I cannot say no
And so you use me
And break me
Until I am nothing
And it hurts
Too much to tell
But I don’t say no
And so you use me
And break me
And push me to my limit
Until it’s too much for me
And you hear the shouts from the windows
And the cries from within the walls
And see them roll me out
On the white hospital bed
And I am unmoving and still
Lost in a whole of darkness
Forever.
Broken.
