My Body Looks Like a Map of a Life Well Lived
I heal quicker physically than emotionally
You can see that by looking at my own body
You'll see the scars, made by my own heart
You'll see how they've healed, and how i'm ashamed so I keep them not revealed
I used to run off into this field
I ran out of fear, I would try to disappear
And if you look at me, still to this day, I run from despair
These are the scars down further from the skin, the ones that are still hurting and healing
And are made from the people who mortify my morals
And leave me with memories that will haunt me for centuries
