Last night I dreamt of ma chérie, 

My first love swayed to the heavenly record spinning Louis Armstong and Ella Fitzgerald’s music.

“Under a blanket of blue” they sing as a picture fills my mind of grey rain clouds brewing over a drewry lake in the Smoky Mountains. 

The scene makes my heart ache with the heaviness of the navy blue waves. The tender love my darling mind bakes brings me back to the fantasy of my first love.
