Never Ending Clock
From the past, through the present, and into the future
It speeds up, and it slows down, but it never stays still
We know it as the issue of the day, always on the beat of a constant clock
Its kept somewhere in our thoughts, was it first recorded with rocks
Even cells and stars use time, its eternal and universal
Full of beginnings and endings, time only moves in one direction
What do we know about time that is true, it intrigues us because it deceives us
Time performs tricks down to the atom, as classy as satin
We live in a world governed by time, we've discovered signs within time
There's a past and a future, kept safe for fewer viewers
