firelight flickers across your faces
shadows of smiles, laughs, grins
we reminisce on the good times
i have missed this group, this cohort
the red string of fate tied between us
binds us tightly together
and yet
the fire of life burns this cord
and scatters our ashes to the winds
so we may meet again someday
but it will never be the same again.
