i want to
tiptoe out the front door
lay on the street
and soak it all in.
the night air will
fill my lungs.
the street lamp
will flicker, the light
lazily dancing through
the shadows.
and i?
will feel the sharp gravel
of the street
cutting into my back:
grounded.
