A hand reached down

Through murky waters

Clouded with lies of anxiety

Chained, with depression

The hand cleared these waters

Allowing me to see

Reaching out to me

Opening my eyes

The hand of love

Swept away the water of salted tears

Warming me to my bones

Opening the bolted steel cage around my heart

Now  the air smells sweet

With the everlasting fog blown away

Bees returned to flowers

And birds flew through the trees

Love took me by the hand

Lifting me from the hole which I sat

Guiding me on the road to life

Life where the moon isn’t cold

Where fire is warm, not harsh

Where the flowers are no longer wilted

Where love is as pertinent as life itself
