where i'm from
where i’m from
the streets smell like sun-drowned petrichor,
the moon is always half-full
and the sky half-empty, yet
where i’m from
we smile at ourselves only
you’re the other other other
and no one else cares, yet
where i’m from?
i am from neither china nor america, yet
i love like a dragon
too much too fast too terrifying to last
yet
i am not extinct.
