Perception
A gorgeous butterfly sits on a flower,
Her beauty outshines everything around her.
All butterflies whisper,
Jealous of her beauty.
Little do they know that she suffers.
She doesn’t see what they see.
In her eyes,
She is worthless,
Pathetic even.
The pain she was put through destroyed her,
Like a town after a tornado.
Her self-esteem gone,
Taken by the wind.
Day by day she loses hope.
Hopefully,
One day,
She’ll see what they see.

Perception is everything. The way you see yourself may not be the way other people see you.
