Beautiful & Harsh
Many think
That snow is either
Beautiful, or Harsh
No in between
Nor’ area that is gray
And bleary
Just kind
Or cruel
And doesn’t that say
Something about way
In which
We view our morality?
That there is only Good or Evil
Yes, snow can be harsh, cruel
Like a hurricane
Of jagged crystals
Yet often do we forget
The beauty of a blizzard
So harsh and cruel
The wondrous visage
Of snowflakes
Pouring from stark white clouds
And often do we only see
The beauty of softly
Drifting flakes of ice
And ignore the harshness of it
For we do not know
What is buried
Under freshly fallen snow

This poem is about how people often think that a person is either good or bad, and don't realize that there is no true good or bad. Just varying shades of gray.
