Ski Slopes

Winter is always
the best
the brisk air
burns my face
the falling snow
covers the slope
with the sunset
I see
as the lift goes on
the fire displays smoke
through the thin tall trees
the smooth mountain
pushes me down
and the powdery snow
fogs my goggles
my warm hands
now turned cold
my big coat
now covered in snow
my gaiter becomes warm
from my heavy breathing
now it is dark
and the snow still falls
On the ski slope.
