begging for change
above my head
are the stars,
in the same old pattern in
the same old constellations
that I can draw in the sky
with my eyes closed.
the same old constellations,
controlling and
telling me
where home should be.
what if
i could reach
up? and claw at the stars
and create my own constellations
what a comforting thought it is,
the thought of running away
to a home.
