Trust Fall
It’s a brilliant thing really.
If you think about what goes into it,
There are a lot of components,
Yet there’s one that acts like glue.
Trust.
We think we trust someone.
Then they let us down.
It never changes.
It’s always going to happen.
Despite if we’ve done nothing but good all our life.
Maybe that’s why.
We’re too good…
When we take the ultimate test,
The trust fall,
We go in headstrong.
Thinking that we know what’s going to happen.
Thinking you’re going to be caught.
The catch is what matters,
Yet it never comes.
And then…
We break
