When I look at the sky I see monsters

They are not so clear to everyone else

For others would misunderstand

They were my friends...

To scare a monster is a task unknown

For men are deep fools

They are too busy being afraid

To know that they are terrifying...

Beings that are beautiful can be monsters

What is frightening is not always formidable

Everything that is evil is a monster

And yet, not all monsters are evil...

Fear never ends with childhood

Being afraid of darkness

Is to see fear in nothing

When really, fear is everything...

Monsters invade the natural world

Only to us they go by a different name

Hatred, Jealousy, Vengeance

We are slaves to their desire...

And to me, this was the working of the world

As I saw the supernatural clearly

And I was never as afraid of the monsters

Under my bed

As I was of the monsters

Inside of my head.
