Grayscale
what would happen
if we just didn't see color
and lived like timeworn photographs
and inked parchment?
what would happen if we
just didn't see
the shades of the sun
rising between the valleys
but instead saw only black and white?
does it matter?
if we lose all color,
how do we find beauty?
monochrome, lackluster.
i think it will turn out fine
as long as we don't feel
like we're trapped
to express ourselves
in grayscale emotions.
