The darkness engulfs me
Curled into a ball
The tears come
The screams follow
The shaking begins
The world breaking
I’m alone
A groan comes from the earth
The shadows wake
Running in fear
While I sit
And wait
Wait for the end
Curling tighter into a ball
Sobbing
Asking why me I stand up
Stronger than ever
Ready to fight
To fight the world
Alone,
I walked
Into the darkness
