The Dance

Taking every step as carefully as I can

But I  stumble and fall

I’m dancing the dance of life

When I fall it sounds  like a pan being banged against a pan

I get up again and try to stand tall

But I have no confidence and no strife

But I fall down clumsily

I get up kind of hastily

I may not dance wonderously

But I get up again, this time with confidence

I’m no broken picket fence

I’m dancing the dance of life

And this time I have strife
