Alone
Alone
Quiet
At peace
Nothing to hear
Except the little, chattering voice
In your head
That spews out memories
And random things you remember
But when alone
With nothing to do
You’re left to focus
On the little voice, talk
Stuck in your mind
Locked in from the outside
Reminding you
Confusing your feelings
Bringing things up
That shouldn’t be brought up
You want to make it stop
To close the mouth of the voice
To unlock the doors
And leave your mind
But, you don’t
Instead, you listen
To the non-stop voice talk
‘Cause after all
They are your own thoughts
