Hiking

The continuous pattern of ups and downs

Walking on treacherous ground

and various slopes

Take a small break

Then back to walking,

once again


Finally at the top

Just in time for the sunset,

Beautifying the town

Bright lights of orange and yellow

Blinding you as you look over the town


Another long walk back

Watching the sun get lower,

And lower in the sky

Finally, you are back,

to where you began

Another great day

To remember
