Christmas Season
Colorful Christmas lights were carefully strung all over the house
Original ornaments hung awkwardly down from the christmas tree
Formerly green grass, now glistening with snow
Christmas time is finally here.
The house is dark, dull, and dreary
No colorful Christmas lights were strung on the house
Snow plows were used to suck the snow away
Christmas trees with ornaments are nowhere to be found
“I wish Christmas wouldn’t come this year”
Tiny children run out to play in the snow
Making Snowman as they go
Sledding hills are stuffed with kids
Snow angels shine brightly on the ground
Christmas time is finally here.
The house looks empty with no kids in the yard
Snowman and Snow angels are stomped into the ground,
Never again to be found
“Sledding hills are a waste of time, ever go and it will be your demise”
“I wish Christmas wouldn’t come this year”
Creative cookies come out of the oven
Frosting in hand, ready for action
Super fun sprinkles are set to the side
Christmas time is finally here
There is no Christmas cookie smell to be found
There are no super fun sprinkles set to the side
The oven is cold
“I wish Christmas wouldn’t come this year”
Tonight is the night
Presents lined the bottom of the tree
Ready to be opened when the kids flood the room
Beautiful bows and ribbons galore
Christmas is finally here.
There are no presents
No ribbons and bows
There is no tree to low and behold
But then the bell rings, it’s a startling sound
He opens the door and look what he found
There are creative cookies, Beautiful bows, and ribbons
A super tall snowman stands in the yard
And plenty of presents are there to go around
“Maybe Christmas isn’t so bad after all”
