Sister to Sister
Well, sister, I’ll tell you
Life for me ain’t been no clear sky
It’s had dark clouds,
And lightning,
And loud booms of thunder
And all types of strong storms
But all the time
I’se been flying high,
And sometimes up in the lower clouds
Where it was very dim
So girl, don’t ever stop soaring
Don’t you let anyone bring you down
‘Cause you’ll find it’ll be harder to get up
So don’t you stop flying now
For I’se still flyin’ high, sis
I’se still going
And life for me aint been no clear sky
