The Sun

The Sun is a shining shadow drifting from east to west

Riding the horizon

Sailing the sea

And flying with the windy sky like a kite, who longs for

Attention

The Sun gets what it wants,

Praise

Kindness, and

Loyalty

And we picnic under its shoulders merely resting from its view

But not hiding.

We wish to be set

Free

From the nothingness we hold so we

Gaze

For endless, restless hours distracted by its blistering stare, solely to

Breath for free

When the Sun is faraway gone to another land we

Rest, only

Hoping to be

Safe

From its sister the haunting Moon, but of course there's only one escape and that is to

Dream along with the sun.

The sun always showed me something enjoyable, so I enjoyed writing something about the sun.
