Bruises
Bruises,
From voices,
From harsh words,
Words that scrape against my heart,
And tear me apart.
Bruises,
From the pain,
Pain from anxiety,
That chips away at my head,
And makes me want to scream bloodshed.
Bruises,
From,
Life,
Life's mistakes,
Life's debates,
And life's unknown fate.
Bruises,
From evil,
From the traps I run into,
The wrong decisions I make,
And now I feel an unending ache.
Bruises,
Are now washed away,
Cleansed and pure,
Because of a band aid of grace,
That is easing the pain.
Bruises,
No room for the wound,
No space for the agony,
They had to flee,
Because of the one that set us free.
