Addiction

December 10, 2018

You met on a warm autumn day in the basement of a church a place you go every afternoon, the addicts club. People from far and wide came here to share just how amazing their lives turned out when they stopped their addiction, or how much it hurts to quit something you love. Some came from drugs, alcohol, or depression. My story isn’t important, at least not to me just your typical love addiction where you can’t get over a certain person. But when he walked in I knew, my new addiction had just started. He was tall with bright blue eyes you could just drown in, light blonde hair shifted to the side so it would stay out of his eyes. A smile that lifted me out of my seat until I felt like I would never hit the ground. I had always craved for perfection, and here he was, standing in front of me.

This is loosely based on an experience I had earlier this year when I fell in love.
