Where Do Demons Slumber?
Where do demons slumber?
This is a simple question,
though the answer may prove...
Distubring.
There is a thing,
A thing of sheer terror.
This thing is malevolent.
This thing is evil incarnate.
Though this thing is apart of us.
This thing is that which
You can not comprehend.
This thing is what
Darkness is to the unknown-
This thing is the Shadow.
And we are wise to fear the Shadow...
But there is plain folly
In wishful thinking.
To say that our Shadows
Are wholly bad is, quite frankly,
Daft.
Were there darkness without light
Then we would have gone blind
A long while ago.
This is the Shadow:
Malevolent if left unchecked
And chaos without cognition.
But a Shadow integrated
Is a sword rarely beared;
It’s mere presence
Instils fear in opposition,i
And no blood is spilled.
