Memories
I remember our first dance-
Do you?
Your oceanic eyes soothing the rings of amber in mine
Do you remember our first kiss?
I still can feel your touch
Do you remember how we loved each other?
Taking away your wallet in the morning,
Hiding your keys in the bathroom,
Smearing your face with my lipstick,
Walking on your feet like a toddler.
I also remember how you slept on my body
I remember smelling you on the sheets
Do you remember how you used to play to me?
Probably not, you don’t remember anything.
You don’t remember my existence either.
You lit up my heart, burned my soul.
Do you remember the wedding we practiced?
Remember any of the vows you wrote to me?
I still wear the ring you gave me, the love you adorned me with,
I look for your fragrance on my clothes,
I hear your name with every beats of my heart.
