Beauty
Turquoise waters shimmer under salmon pink skies.
White wisps of angels’ wings paint their message.
I can feel the cool, damp sand under my toes.
I inhale every breath the trees give me.
I can hear an orchestra of serenity and peace every time the waves gently crash on the shore.
I still grieve over what we lost.
I never knew it could be so easy to stop loving someone.
But in every heartbreak, there is beauty.
Like the beauty I see before me.
And when I too, gently crash with the waves, my body glides along the rhythm they play.
I feel my heart being one with the ocean.
So much beauty in the misperceived ocean.
It plays the most peaceful melody when hell is happening beneath the surface.
And my heart joins in its song.
It is here,
I find
Beauty.
