Discovery
A cold day in December
The sun was a flashlight in a dusty sky
The trees bending and lending listening ears
I flipped through pages of a book I didn’t know the title of
Examining the pictures
And interpreting the truth
My mind begun to unravel the layers
My eyes opened and fixed themselves on what I had
And my mind ran with the December wind
Understanding the unlimited possibilities
I could hardly stand it
Life came to my soul and therefore to my eyes
My fingers tingled waiting and anticipating
Palpable reality and tangible excitement
This was my moment
A beginning
Of
Self-Discovery
