Linger
My faith in you grows weaker
As I get older,
For maturity takes over,
Wipes away your innocence.
Time dies, old friend,
And trust can be broken.
Lying has done you no good,
It has only pushed me away.
This force you use against me
Has grown so strong.
Oh,but I have grown stronger.
So why do I choose to linger?
I will never understand
Why I stuck by your side
All these years,
My dear.
For all you’ve done is
Lie.
Cheat.
Relapse.
All I’ve done is
Cry.
Move on.
I relapse back to you every time.
I hate you so much that
I love you even more.
I will never admit to myself
That you’re an addict and a wh**e.
Mother,
Why is it still you that I adore?
