How I Plan To Survive

Life is unfair and unkind
Horrific and heartless
It is-yeah, yeah.
I know them by heart
That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t do my part
I do have damned days
Damped by my tears
Wrecked by my plans
Fooled by my hopes
My heart is a survivor
My body is tired
But, I am still ready for this war
With enthusiasm in my eyes
Courage on my wings
A chant in my heart
Rebellion in my DNA
I am not sure if I will win
But I won’t lose.
I am mighty sure of that.
