Miles
The wind flings dirt from the road into my eyes,
Blinding my irregardless sight,
For I have miles to go before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Miles to go in reckless rain,
And miles to go in endless pain.
I have things to take before I wake,
Stuff to do, things to take.
My car is running out of gas,
Not enough horsepower, I guess.
I’ve done things that I regret
Things I loathe and stuff I hate.
Things that’d make a blind man see,
like taking honey from a bee.
Yet I have miles to go before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
