Color Clouded
The world holds a grayscale tone
Hatred, evil and jealousy the cause
The ‘all knowing’ being above taken all away
In hopes these angry emotions would fade
But a select few say otherwise
That oceans wide hold a wondrous liquid color
That teddy bears remain a sweet caramel tone
That flamingo birds pop like bubble gum
Those who hold love in their hearts tell these colorful tales
Love for youth brought into the world
Love for sisters and brothers grown with
Love for significant others passed early into their life
Lovers with little anger in their hearts find these colors
People like the poor teen in the heart of the plains
Who loved his best friend so dearly and innocently
His vision clouded with the warmth of her fiery hair
In a way it was beautiful
Like flames licking off the ash that was her skin
In another way it was an utter shock
This sudden change from the normality around
Her loss brought a burn more devastating than flame
Not only did this warm red stain each curly lock
But stain the midnight concrete on which she lay motionless
The warm passion oozing from her knotted flames
