Goodbye
I can never give you what you want
Even if you beg
No matter how much you taunt
I still have these shackles on my legs
You asked me for the stars
But all I have is the dirt
All I have are countless scars
Caused by all the suffering and hurt
Your disappointed face
Is all I’ve ever seen
As you sadly begin to erase
Every one of my dreams
Hastily wiping away
The final traces of my life
I no longer wish to stay
And go through all this strife
So goodbye, my former guardian
Goodbye, my false protector
Goodbye, my abusive warden
Goodbye, my horrid specter
