The squirrel scurried up a tree,
nut in its mouth.
The squirrel was stung by a bee,
the nut then fell out.

The squirrel jumped down and broke his leg.
“Ouch!” Says the squirrel.
Lying on the ground,
fragile as an egg.
I’m going to hurl,
this world is cruel, cruel, cruel.

I wrote this poem because I've enjoyed watching squirrels jump from trees.
