Let Me Tell You A Story.
Picture perfect happy,
It began the way they all do.
Till the façade fell,
Too good to be true.
Everything that could go wrong-
Did.
I coped as I could,
Within myself I hid.
Illusions shatter to reality-
Inception, Misconception,
And still I hid,
Alone in imperfection.
Screams no one can hear,
Tears so one can see.
All stories have a bad guy,
Master of puppets, master of me.
I write of unspoken moments,
Shackles binding, unseen.
Outsider to my own life,
What does it mean to be free?
Sinking,
Drag me down with you.
Paralyzed. A ghost.
What you say, I will do.
Fix what wasn’t broken,
My prison was home to me.
Right through the gates of the past,
And I’m finally free.
Wind beneath wings,
I will live with what I’ve chosen.
Doing things MY way,
Living in MY moment.
