Hold Me By My Roots
In spite of what they say
I tend to be my own way
I can be as lovely as a flower
With a little bit of willpower
I'm content with just being here
This is something I no longer fear
Whenever I feel I can no longer bear
I just need to feel the breeze through my hair
I'm grounded by my roots,
And occasionally a pair of combat boots
Sometimes a pedal may fall,
But I must continue standing tall
I bloom in different seasons,
I do as I please because I have my reasons.
