Waiting Impatiently
Waiting impatiently,
For the day to end,
So that I can stop hoping,
Stopping believing I'll mend.
Rocking just slightly,
Back and forth in my corner,
With mascara stained cheeks,
I'm a well practiced mourner.
I mourn the loss of so much,
But the pain of much more,
The belief I deserve better,
Than to wash up on the shore.
Waiting and waiting,
For you to choose,
Am I worth it or not?
Are you willing to loose,
The little time we have left?
Will you choose sleep over me,
Though you'll be gone,
Returning indefinitely.
Love me like I'm precious,
Need me like you do…
Treat me like I'm worth it.
Love me as I love you.
