She Hides It
She hides it
Deep, deep within, she keeps it
Down inside the heart where it is unheard
Unaware by her for it is deep, deep within
Unfelt and unseen, just invisible to others
And her shoulders heave the pain in deep
She wishes to cry but it is kept hidden
And instead pour all her cries in just a pant
Her grandiose smile can be unmasked with a sigh
Her watery eyes display agony, misery, and pity
But it is hid by the bashful strength she feigns
Her whole life is but just a lie
She wishes to swap with truth and relief shall she feels
Although her inside cries for liberty
Wouldn’t that be selfish to even dare to wish?
She may say a lie but her face just proves true
But I do see her through
And I do see a Mother
Who endures just enough pain for a child
