Your Name
I wrote your name in the clouds,
You could see it from where we lay;
We laughed and talked for hours
But the sunset erased your name away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
Next to where the children play;
The castles and moats were eternal
But your name washed into the bay.
I wrote your name in the rainbow
With colors and the sun’s ray;
Yet there was no mighty rainfall
And your name became only grey.
I wrote your name in my heart
And every night I used to pray:
“We will be together,
Forever and ever.”
And in my heart your name did stay.
