My candle burns on both ends,
It will not last the night;
But Ah! my foes and Oh! my friends it gives a lovely light.

Since yesterday is gone
And tomorrow starts in a minute
Can you stay here when it rises
To make sure I’m in it.

‘Coz tomorrow is today’s yesterday
You can take me away
In a place where snowflakes dance
When they hear you say;

Tomorrow brings change,
I’ll see you when the morning turns gold
And you already know
That today has grown old.

Can we trust ourselves to fly
When the cliff crumbles?
Can we trust ourselves to hope and dream
Through the pain and the troubled rumbles?

Hear the songs from above,
Hear the whispers of the wind;
Hear the cries of the spring swallow
Hear the singing of the elvish kind….

‘Coz when tomorrow brings change
I hope you are in its crescent
But for now enjoy the gift of now,
Something I call the present.

The author's comments:
I dont want people to regret having 'missed' the present. Its too beautiful to describe but it moves faster than a wink of an eye.
So We need to learn to appreciate it. Sometimes focusing on the present fixes the future by itself.
