Go Back In Time
People tell me they know what I'm going through,
But they would never know the extent I would go to,
To turn back the clock and go back in time,
And once again take back what was rightfully mine.
To get you back into my arms,
When it felt like you were my lucky charm,
To stop all these haters from breaking us apart,
To stop you from eventually breaking my heart.
To promise to love you until the day I died,
To promise to tell you all the reasons why I cried,
To ask you why you let all those other girls flirt,
To ask you why you let them say all that dirt.
To go back to those beautiful moments when,
You smiled at me with that dimpled little grin,
To tell your best friend he needed to leave me alone,
Or you would beat him up and it would have shown.
There would be black bruises all over your face,
And your mom would think your such a disgrace,
But I would think somewhere deep down,
That one day we would get together and leave this town.
But for now until the build a time machine,
I'll walk these halls with my broken heart unseen,
And day by day I will try to hide the pain,
That makes me feel like I have been run over by a train.
I hope that someday, any day,
You and I will go back to the day,
When we never felt any of this pain.
