I'll Stay
There is this way that I am familiar with,
This style my life has had,
A pattern that has been laid down
That is neither good nor bad...
In fact its rather neutral,
As Ive watched the years pass by,
Ive seen the times the pattern broke,
The times I let myself cry
Life is full of patterns
But they arent always kept,
A humans pattern may be happy,
But there are times when they have wept.
My life had fallen to the chilling,
Icy darkened waters
I sat and watched for months on end,
Stay foreboding, without falter.
Now the light has reached my eyes,
The sun has warmed the sea,
The smile upon my face these days,
Is no act, But a reality.
The darkest times are yet to come,
But for now I'll be okay,
I'll open my arms to each new day,
And in the suns sweet rays I'll stay.
