I Must Have Forgotten
Tell me, can you touch it?
Can you hold it in your hands?
Let it squeeze between your fingers?
Let it slip like grains of sand?
Tell me, does it have a color?
Is it one that we all know?
Does it shine or does it sparkle?
Does it glitter? Does it glow?
Tell me, can you taste it?
Can you feel it on your lips?
Is it something you can bite?
Is it something you can kiss?
Tell me, can your hear it?
Does it have an endless ring?
Is it loud or is it soft?
Is it only in a dream?
Tell me, is it scented?
Is it something you can smell?
Is it subtle, just barely there,
so only few can tell?
Tell me, is it sacred?
Does it truly exist?
Tell me, what is it like
to experience happiness?
