Sea Bound Wishes
"Let me be the water," I said,
"Let me be the moon,
"Let me be the morning dove,
pushing curfew, out at noon"
Little did I know back then,
that the tide doesn't wait for the moon,
The moon only waits on the sun to die,
And there are no doves out this noon.
Now I long for that tidal wave,
To catch back up with me,
I wish the sun would ne'er die out,
but would shine upon the sea.
Never shall the sun shine there,
When the moon basks in its glow...
Will the moon's wishes e'er come true?
I say sadly, mournfully, no.
