Carry Me Away
Letting my soul be free,
letting my heart finally sing,
The only words I can remember today.
As the wind carries me, away.
Spinning slowly watching worlds go by,
seeing that sparkle return to your eyes,
the only face I remember today,
The one that answers my silent cries.
Watching seasons out of order,
Walking lines and crossing borders,
the only place i can remember today,
My map is two options, and the flip of quarter
Sunlight hits my shadowed face,
Illuminates my darkened fate,
The only emotion I remember today...
As the empty loneliness fills this place...
Letting my soul finally be free,
I try, but without you there is nothing to sing..
the only memory I have today...
But the wind carried you away.

So this poem is just kind of a dramatization of how the emotions come and go with the wind, just as my friend was taken away from me.
