Take risks. if you win, you will be happy. if you lose, you will be wise.

Dont tell me the sky's the limit when there's footprints on the moon.

Live for the moments you can't put into words.

I had seen the kids with loving friends
The ones who would do anything for each other
But I had always thought it would be terrible
To be bound to one another.

The chains looked heavy
Allowing little movement
I did not want that to happen to me
A point on which I was bent.

Why would you want to be bound
By those awfully heavy chains?
Little did I know that those heavy chains
Weren’t there anyway.

When a girl my age walked up to me
I tried to shy away
But she was persistent
So I let her win that day.

As we laughed and played together,
I barely noticed it form
But the invisible chains of friendship
Were there and not to be torn.

They weren’t chains at all
But instead a golden rope.
One that could be broken
But that would destroy all hope.

It was pleasant and fun
To have a friend for the first time
My parents noticed a change in me
Happier, like sunshine.

That golden rope will change your life,
Just as it has mine.
And don’t believe that it’s a heavy chain
Because that’s an awful lie.
