I’ll sing you a torch song.
I’ll light up my timber.
The sparks burn my fingers.
Your eyes seem to glimmer.

The song’s not about you.
A torch song is lost.
It’s love is forgotten.
Passed down through the thoughts.

“I won’t love another,”
My torch song will croon.
“I won’t think of others,
Until I’m snuggled in you.”

I’ll sing you a torch song.
‘Till the lumber burns out.
‘Till my torch song come finds me,
And takes me about

Wow. It’s impossible not to be in love with this. It’s truly amazing. It really captures the emotion you’re trying to convey. Keep writing, because I want to see more. You should check out some of my stuff. I think you would like it.
