500 Stories

Instead of those big dresses
Lets stay home in our pjs
Find our love in our untimely reminiscing

And I used to know what I wanted
It’s now refreshing in a new font
Tell the writers to go home
Turn the page and it’s blank

I’ll fall five hundred stories
Just to find our happy ending
Find comfort in our years of pretending

Find the writers to say
Let the dreamers write the way
For your happy ending
Write your own new chapter

I’m not that classic blonde
Can’t play the piano nor sing
I don’t find love in a shinny new ring

Can’t tell the birds to sing
Found you I have no tortured longing
Tell the writers to go home
Turn the page and its blank

I’ll fall five hundred stories
Just to find our happy ending

Find comfort in our years of pretending

Find the writers to say
Let the dreamers write the way
For your happy ending
Write your own new chapter
Tell the writers to go home
Turn the page and it’s blank

I’ll fall five hundred stories
Just to find our happy ending
Find comfort in our years of pretending

Find the writers to say
Let the dreamers write the way

For your happy ending
Write your own new chapter

Turn the page and it’s blank
Write your own happy ending

The author's comments:
This peice was written by me after i had a strange dream about the classic fairy tail books. "I'll Fall 500 Stories" is not, I asure you, about jumping off buildings. it is a play on words to mean that I will go through as many stories as I can find my happy ending. but after searching the pen should be the dreamers hands.

I found this poem to be very insightful and mature. These "lyrics" would make a great song.
